New Entry Landings in Ipswich, MA

Our customer owns a beautiful Colonial home in the historic town of Ipswich, Massachusetts. Her old stone steps were narrow, and the stone landing had caused dry rot in the sill framing, making it difficult for her to get in and out of her door.

We discussed several material options for constructing her new steps and ultimately decided on Batu decking with a sapele skirt and risers. This choice will ensure durability while matching the historic aesthetic of her property. Additionally, we will be installing a handrail made of mahogany and sapele wood, along with new stairs constructed from peastone and railroad ties.
